Stephen for President
Hold Princeton to its Values
As the U-Council Chair and the chair of the Mental Health Resources Task Force, I know that Princeton often fails to live up to its stated values like sustainability, transparency, and accessibility. As your president, I'll take these concrete actions to hold Princeton accountable

Sustainability
-
Hold Princeton to its word on fossil fuel dissociation
-
Institutionalize the move-out/resale event
-
Work with Princeton and other community partners like the eating clubs to increase composting options
-
Increase vegan/vegetarian options in the dining halls
-
Support the EcoReps in ensuring student voices help guide any sustainability communications

Transparency
-
Host regular office hours to connect student activists with relevant USG members and administrators
-
Provide more guidance for students who want to introduce referenda about how to write them so that they have an impact
-
Have administrators start interacting directly with more students by continuing the meals with admin program and asking them to sign up for other events like intramurals
-
Push for the Dining Pilot working group to be actually transparent
-
Complete a survey of current students so that admin understands what problems we actually have with upperclass dining

Accessibility
-
Advocate for standardizing policies that allow for difficult times during the semester like late days
-
Start conversations about whether a 12-week semester is the right amount of time for students to be able to actually engage with the material
-
Increase the number of drop-in hours offered for communities on campus that need specialized care
-
Improve lighting on campus, especially around ongoing construction
-
Have Princeton provide grants for international students from countries without a tax treaty to prevent students from having to pay out of pocket to receive their financial aid
-
Streamline the process of applying for and receiving emergency funding
